Lavardin - Regional Specialties

Honey is a natural product and the bees are half wild animals. It is impossible to order a bee not to go plunder certain flowers when are so near. Bees can’t be directed to a particular flower but when Gerard Allaire, the Mayor of Lavardin, orders a bee to make acacia honey, it makes acacia honey.Because M. Allaire changies the combs as different flowers bloom he makes a number of distinctive tasting honeys. There is the delicate milky-white honey, Miel de Primtemps. which made from the first flowers of spring. The accacia honey is a rich golden color and taste. Try these and his other honeys at the Chateau boutique.
